It has been a long time since I did a review. The reason? I am pregnant with child number two and this blog was not meant to be about my children. I purposefully wanted not to blog about family life. Perhaps I will in the future but for now, no. But sadly when I am pregnant there isn't much else to talk about. I am a terrible pregnant person who spends a lot of time kneeling before the porcelain throne. I do watch a lot of tv and movies but I have not felt like reviewing them.
I cannot go over the movies and games I played (though I haven't been playing much) during this time. Or at least not all of them because some of it is a haze...
I went to Captain America: the First Avenger, I remember that. I enjoyed it. Acting was good and the storyline was easy to follow. I've never read much about Captain America and seeing him as an American Patriotic figure. I enjoyed it more than Thor. I enjoyed Thor but afterwards felt parts of the movie were lacking. I did not feel this with Captain America. I also was excited to see the teaser trailer at the end for The Avengers. Another Batman and this sequel next year? Sounds good to me.
Limitless: A different story with an ending I did not expect. I liked that. The movie got surprisingly violent and graphic near the end. If you don't like blood, dismembered body parts, and violence, I would strongly suggest you don't watch this show.
How to Train your Dragon: Yes, it took me this long to see this one. I loved it and after renting it bought it on blu-ray. Need I say more? The only thing I don't understand is how people could think it was graphically better than Legend of the Guardians. Watching it I didn't think "crappy graphics" by any means but I never got the "wow" feeling I got from LotG concerning the graphics. I will probably watch the sequel to this one.
Phantom of the Opera: I own this one but haven't watched it in a while. Still a beautiful movie. One of those movies that make me wish It didn't end, or that i could step into it, or something. Of course, I still think she should have stayed with the twisted yet wonderful Phantom.
I have this tickle in my brain that I went to another movie in the theaters... but as I am drawing a blank I guess I will bring this catch-up post to a close. Hopefully it won't be so long before another.
I have only seen one out of those four (How to Train Your Dragon). But I have to agree, loved it. I've always wanted to see Phantom of the Opera, just never got around to it. But if I'm going to be disappointed since she doesn't stay with him, maybe I won't hahaha.
